Planned maintenance programs are great. A lot of companies have fallen away from that over the years, but we still recommend that you do it.
It keeps your equipment running at its optimum performance, makes it less prone to fail. By cleaning out equipment, coils and fans and making sure the belts are working properly, it puts less strain on motors and bearings and things of that nature.
It really does help prolong the life of the equipment because it’s working more efficiently and saves you money in the long run.
Even though you’re putting money up front, you’re still saving money in the long run because then that equipment is going to fail years later than it would sooner.
It’s unfortunate the way the industry works that our customers can’t always afford to be proactive in replacing older equipment. So it’s the little things you can do, paying attention to them and taking care of what they do have in place that will help out.
They’re going to get them through the summer and potentially to another point in time when budgets will permit a proactive replacement of a piece of equipment.
